Bedroom Feels Cold

The colors for this living room below were chosen from the art work the client owned. As you can see, there were no prints or patterns in the upholstery or carpet that we had to work around. So we selected a color blue from a favorite picture hanging in the room. The living room color we chose was a Ben Moore 'Montpelier- AF-555.' The client went with a custom color on the ceiling, a lighter shade of Montpelier. The kitchen and dining room are visible from the living room, so we had to coordinate the colors well. We chose Ben Moore 'Honeymoon - AF-345' to paint the kitchen and dining room. All were painted with an eggshell finish.

The soffit in the kitchen was also painted the color Montpelier. Bringing the same color in to the next room connects them together. Plus, seeing the blue in the next room, it draws your eye to it making the room seem larger. Notice also that most of the furnishings were already owned by the clients. We rearranged a few art and accessories into better This is what I mean when I say the magic of paint. For such a small investment as a couple gallons of paint, the room was changed dramatically into a beautiful, updated, comfortable home.

Dated Wall Paper
This was a home I helped get ready for resale. This bedroom was so dark, plus it was on the north side of house. So we ripped off the old wallpaper and I choose a light wall color. We bought a new white comforter and used a picture from another room. Voila!
